So a guildie spent like forever helping me out with stats and items and specs and somehow- the comment was just gone. well, last night we found it. and honestly- there’s so much good stuff that it deserves it’s own post.
The comment is below, and we’ll give you some time to digest it before we go into detail about what we did and what we plan to do. [translation- I gotta go to work and don't have time but I'll do it later.

Hey Vix, I looked at your spec and here is a re-tooled version. http://www.wowhead.com/?talent=ctbM0ggRmuVoZfhmMzf
This is one of the most interesting specs I have seen in a long time.
My suggestions: Improved Aspect of the Hawk over Endurance.
Why: I-AOTH is almost necessary for a hunter- keep hawk up and this really helps your dps. Once my mana gets down to around 50% I switch to viper and hope to keep my mana up.
Suggestion 2: Drop I-AOTM and Thick hide (2 pts only)
Why: Aspect of the monkey is pretty useless as it is and it should hardly be up at all. Thick hide isnt much of an issue as well as during pve you’re hardly getting hit at all and if you are you can pop deterrence.
Suggestion III (or how I got Chuck his spirit bond and focus back): This is where the 3 points from I-AotM and Thick Hide go.
Why: 4/5 Frenzy is still almost up all the time as 5/5 frenzy. so that is one more point. More focus= more claw= more DPS. Spirit bond is wonderfull, however Animal Handler is better for PvE DPS, If you really want Spirit bond, go for it.
Suggestion 4: The rest of the points in BM are okay. In the survival tree: If you can stand loosing hawkeye, put those 3 points in Humanoid Slaying and loose the 2 points in savage strikes and move them to monster slaying.
Why: Raptor strike and mongoose bite are another one of those skills that are useless in pve. Hawkeye is rather useless as well. I had hawkeye for 70 levels and respeced and haven’t noticed (much) of a difference. Monster slaying is not hugely useful, but more useful than hawkeye.
Thats it for talents, lets move onto gear.
Helm: You’re helm is really nice, however, I used, at that level, The Stalker’s helm of Second Sight: http://www.wowhead.com/?item=31106 Not too hard of a quest chain and it has 3 sockets.
Neck: Your neck is hard to replace. The next best upgrade is really http://www.wowhead.com/?item=28509 or http://www.wowhead.com/?item=29381 Which are both either hard to get or drop in kara.
Shoulders: Your shoulders are nice, but http://www.wowhead.com/?item=32868 are abit better.
Cloak: Your cloak is really nice, I’d stick with it until http://www.wowhead.com/?item=29382
Chest: Other than regemming, You’re chest piece is nice.
Bracer: The best option, since you are a lw, would be http://www.wowhead.com/?item=25697
Gloves: The best option drops in SH, a relatively easy instance: http://www.wowhead.com/?item=27474 Also, 26 ap enchant to gloves is cheap and much much much better than 15 str; str for hunters gives Melee attack power only, and therefore is useless.
Belt: Other than regemming, your belt is fine.
Pants: Your Pants aren’t bad at all.
Boots: http://www.wowhead.com/?item=28384 are much better than your current boots and very easy to get.
Rings: http://www.wowhead.com/?item=29128 if you’re aldor, and if you aren’t go with http://www.wowhead.com/?item=25811 Either way, go with http://www.wowhead.com/?item=25811 as the other one. All the violet one takes is getting kara keyed.
Trinkets: Bladefists breadth is good until http://www.wowhead.com/?item=29383 As for the other, either http://www.wowhead.com/?item=28034 or http://www.wowhead.com/?item=28288
Thats it ![]()
