NERF!!!!!

“Invisible players with Hunter’s Mark can see the hunter that put the mark on them.”

Now- maybe that’s not a big deal, but maybe it is. Vix and I arena. And the bracket that we’re in is (we’re not sure why) MOSTLY tank/sneaky combos. So- Pally/catdrood, or warrior/rogue or something like that. And don’t even get me started on freaking Naturemeld or whatever it is that Nightelves can do. Can I get a nerf over here? What do belf’s get- Mana tap and Arcane torrent? ya it’s an interrupt, but only if they’re not arcane magic. And Mana tap, when fully buffed 3/3 still only give about 453 mana. That’s less than 7% of Vix’s Mana back! Come ON! I know hunts can go on forever with no mana, but that’s still uber-notcool. anyway, back to my point-

When we’re in arena, and half the people we’re going up against are invisible, and we’re playing with a lock- we’re hoping against hope that they go for the lock. he has tons of stam and we do more dps from a distance. There are many ways to un-invis an invis, but they’re complicated. Of course we fun in with Track Hidden on, and if we don’t see both guys immediatly we flare and snake trap. (used to be slow trap but those little snake dots put them out of stealth so it’s better) and then, once we get a glimpse- we hunter’s mark. If that arrogant little holier-than-thou tree hugging nelf seeing a warning across the screen saying “HA HA!! Vixenytli Made you come out of stealth!! /taunt” he’s gonna come after me instead of my stammed-up aff-lock. granted, if he has half a brain he’ll know that it’s the hunter that did it, but it’s the ethics of the thing! When a lock casts a shadowbolt is doesn’t say “1056 shadow damage by Maleficarum” across the screen, it says it int he combat log and that’s where it should be!

And btw- if nelfs, lore-wise, got rid of magic in their lives- why do they still get to use it? and why are there ANY belf classes that don’t? The whole reason belfs exist apart and alienated from nelf society is because they were addicted to the stuff and refused to give it up- every belf class should use mana, and NO nelf class should.

/huff

MUCH MORE annoying are the changes to growl and pet aggro-

  • Growl: Pets will no longer generate additional threat from this ability based on attack power buffs cast on them. Attack power buffs on their master will still indirectly increase the threat generated by the pet’s Growl.

That sucks. Right now, when Vix casts BW/BWI, Ferocity (from bladefist’s breath) and starts Twang-twanging, I get that extra boost and the baddies hit me, not her. Not that I like that, i really don’t appreciate them hitting me, but it doesn’t really hurt me much and she can heal me. I like getting aggro, it’s my job. This means that getting aggro will be harder, and that means she’ll have to dial back. That’s bad. She’s not patient, and when we’re soloing (the only time we use growl) she’s not careful. She likes to see how many she can take on at once, pull out the stops, blow her cooldowns and just annihilate anyone in her way. So- a growl nerf is not fantastic for us. We’ll get used to it though.

  • Pet Aggro: Pets will no longer generate threat immediately from being summoned.

Ok- what now? I didn’t even know I got aggro from being summoned. It’ll be interesting to see how this plays out considering i never even noticed it before.

Oh ya- and, WE KILLED SOLARIAN!!! (It was easy sauce once people figured out how to not blow up.)

more on that later!

  1. Night elves use magic, just not “Arcane Magic” which is addicting and corrosive. Their magic flows from nature and the moon goddess Elune. Their classes are Druid, Warrior, Rogue, Hunter and Priest. Two are melee, one is holy, one is nature. Only hunters can be argued to use arcane magic in their arcane shot but that’s a small caviat.

  2. Why must you prove me wrong? begone wee priesty! I shall munch upon your squishiness!

    (that does make sense though)
