The grind for a Blue Dragonhawk Mount

To get the Blue Dragonhawk Mount (that isn’t even on wowhead yet so I can’t link it to you) requires 100 mounts. That’s a lot. So I’m making a list-

I need to do some research into these. A lot of them come from WotLK exalted factions or heroic achievements. And some, like the netherwing drakes, I think you can only get one.

Some of these are no longer available, and some have a 1% chance to drop from a daily. Again, more research is needed for a comprehensive list.

Mammoths-
I want to say that we will NOT be getting the traveler’s Tundra mammoth. No way. It’s just too expensive.

It’d be easy if we could go cross-faction, but even with lifting size requirements for mounts i doubt they’ll go that far. I don’t think this will be a focus, but we’ll go snatch up our 50 mounts for the Albino Drake and just keep an eye on it from there. We’ll make a similar post for the Mini-pets and include which we have, which we need, and which are impossible to get.
Special Mounts-
There are other special mounts, like a frost wyrm and the Naxxaramas Deathecharger, and the Zephra –but as those are a ways off and I want that dragonhawk for my Vixy NOW, we won’t be addressing them.
PVP- we hate PVP. I doubt these will happen.

You’re right! I do have sad news though- the Blue is no longer available to Horde. They get a Red one. /fail.

Just so you know, the mechano-hog counts as a mount. It does have a hefty pricetag though. I’ve heard that the regular flying carpet mount is BoE so you might be able to get that as well.
Oh, and the AQ40 mounts all count, so that’s four more (the only one with a sort of rare droprate is the red one but its not that bad.)
I think players are pretty much forced to use the trading card game to get this mount at the moment.

I did not not know about the AQ mounts! That’s good news. But ya- the trading card game might be necessary with this achievement. They may change it though, Blizzard usually tries to make sure you don’t need to spend money to achieve an in-game goal. I may need to re-asses this once I’ve filled all the holes and see if it actually is possible w/out purchasing any.

Oh, and if you are a warlock or paladin, there’s two more. Tailors can make flying carpets; engineers can make helicopters and motorcycles. The rest of us just get to walk.

You missed the Nether Rays — I think there are 8 of them and they are another rep grind faction. You’ll have to make up the rest by farming for rare dungeon drops if you don’t want to do PVP. There’s the Raven Lord that Druids who are on or have finished their flight quest can summon, and one in Karazhan and another in Stratholme. Also you can buy all the Netherwing mounts at 200g each, although you get your first one free. Good luck.

The Black Qiraji battle tank is pert near impossible to get you have to join a new server, get a guy to 60 (at least) run AQ during the first 10 hours “The gates of Ahn’Qirji” event loot C’thuns head out of X amount of plp then do a 40 quest long chain and it costs porlly 1000g altogether anyone who has the SICK mount props to you

it might be possible ( didn’t try it yet) but with the new patch u have have horde and alliance on a pvp server or whatever maybe you can trade mount thought the goblin AH??? like i said didn’t look in to it but it might work( because they lift the racial mount thingy)
